ORTESOL Workshop Grant Application
The ORTESOL Board is please to offer Workshop Grants to Oregon institutions planning an ESL workshop during the current academic year. The purpose of these grants is twofold:
- To facilitate professional development for ESL teachers throughout Oregon, particularly in regions where teachers are not always able to participate in the Fall Conference due to distance.
- To acquaint teachers with other teachers and ideas from outside their own program.
These grants are awarded to ORTESOL members to help offset costs of a workshop such as presenter's expenses (e.g. travel, room and board), workshop site costs, a modest presenter honorarium, etc. Grants of up to $200.00 per workshop will be awarded. Because funds are limited, you are encouraged to apply early.
Grant recipients will be expected to write a short article for the ORTESOL Newsletter.
To apply for a Workshop Grant, mail or fax a typed response to the following items. Please use your institution's letterhead.
